Hamburg/Frankfurt/Zurich. After Stefan Keitel joined Berenberg in September 2013 as Global Chief Investment Officer, Germany’s oldest private bank has strengthened its CIO-Office.
“We are very glad that we have gained another three renowned and respected experts. With their experience and expertise in the capital market, they will drive forward the development of our CIO-Office,” said Stefan Keitel, Global Chief Investment Officer and Head of Portfolio Management. “The CIO-Office, which comprises the entire investment strategy as well as all portfolio management units, is an important basis for the international growth strategy of Berenberg. We see the expansion of skills and expertise as a success factor for our business.” In the past months, Berenberg has expanded its CIO-Office with more than ten additional employees in the areas of Investment Strategy and Portfolio Management as well as the sub-segments Investment Services, Investment Advisory and Alternative Investments. “With these specific areas and the newly acquired employees, we have concluded our staff planning for the time being and feel that we are competitively positioned,” Keitel explains.
