Berenberg Polo Trophy: The “game of kings” returns to the Taunus
Frankfurt. It’s time for polo again on 5th-7th September, when Germany’s oldest private bank presents the Berenberg Polo Trophy in Oberursel. Exciting duels and elegant horsemanship will be on display just outside Frankfurt when Germany’s best polo players and international superstars play for the prestigious silver trophy. “We’re delighted to again have the chance to present the Berenberg Polo Trophy, a star-studded tournament at the very highest level,” says Dr Kyros Khadjavi, who heads Berenberg’s Private Banking activities at its Frankfurt office.
In its fourth year, the tournament is set to draw polo fans from throughout Germany to the Taunus region. A total of four teams from Berenberg, Bucherer, Land Rover and Rolex, plus 80 horses, will stir the blood of polo fans and spectators alike. “The Berenberg Polo Trophy will once more produce sporting competition that combines dynamism and precision with team spirit and fairness,” comments Khadjavi. The tournament is the only event in the Rhine-Main area that is part of the German Polo Tour, which covers the most important tournaments in Germany.
The “game of kings” is an exceptional sporting event set against the backdrop of the Taunus hills in Hesse and a social occasion and family day out. The preliminary rounds will take place between 3pm and 6pm on Friday, 5th September.
