Extel survey results: Berenberg chief economist Schmieding named top economist in Europe for third time running
Hamburg / London: Berenberg chief economist Dr Holger Schmieding has again been named best economist for Europe by a selection of finance professionals from Europe and abroad in the annual Extel awards. Berenberg’s equity research and sales teams were also ranked highly by Extel.
This is the third year running that the Bank has been top ranked in the Extel survey. Chief economist, Dr Holger Schmieding, was named best economist for Europe in the “Pan-European Economics & Macro” category amongst 368 competitors. This is the result of the Extel survey carried out amongst around 18,000 international fund managers and investors.
