FRANKFURT/HAMBURG, Germany, 14 December 2011 – Goldman Sachs and Berenberg Bank will be hosting the “German Corporate Conference 2012” from 24 - 26 September 2012. This is one of the largest investor conferences for German companies.
The event is aimed at large and medium-sized listed companies from Germany and will provide a forum for the intensive dialogue with international investors. At the German Corporate Conference, the most important companies listed on the German DAX, MDAX, SDAX and TecDAX will present their economic outlook, current trends and challenges. Workshops and one-on-one talks will also offer direct contact with investors. Around 100 companies and 800 institutional investors are expected to attend the event.
As the world’s fourth largest economy, Germany enjoys an excellent reputation internationally. German companies are proving themselves to be better positioned than ever in the currently challenging market conditions and are well equipped to maintain and even expand their leading position in the global growth markets.
“We are proud to be able to host the German investor conference with Berenberg Bank,” said Philip Holzer, Deputy CEO of Goldman Sachs in Germany. “This high-calibre event highlights our long-standing commitment to the German market and the huge significance it has for Goldman Sachs”.
“In addition to our Pan-European investor conference in the UK, we are delighted to offer this unique event along with Goldman Sachs to promote German companies to international investors. This is very important, particularly in these challenging economic times,” said Hendrik Riehmer, Managing Partner at Berenberg Bank.
Goldman Sachs and Berenberg Bank have a combined wealth of experience in German Capital Markets, both with corporates and institutional investors that uniquely positions them to conduct a first class investor conference.
The Global Investment Research division at Goldman Sachs analyses around 90 German and more than 900 European companies. In addition, Goldman Sachs has long been the market leader in significant M&A transactions and IPOs in Germany as well as in international debt issues for German companies.
Berenberg Bank offers one of the largest European Equity Research platforms with some 450 stocks currently covered. It has received numerous international awards over the last few years, especially in the field of German small and mid caps. In 2011, Berenberg was involved in the five largest IPOs in Germany and in many capital raisings for German MDAX and SDAX companies.
