Khadjavi to head Berenberg's Private Banking office in Frankfurt
Frankfurt. Dr Kyros Khadjavi is taking over the helm at the Frankfurt office of the Private Banking division of Germany's oldest private bank. Khadjavi, 37, previously head of the UBS office in Berlin with responsibility for wealth management, is joining Berenberg with effect from 1 July.
"I'm delighted that we've managed to sign up Kyros Khadjavi, a recognised expert who will help keep our activities in Frankfurt growing," says Tindaro Siragusano, Head of Private Banking and Asset Management at Berenberg. "With his vast experience in wealth management and managerial strengths, he will be able to step up our Private Banking activities at the Frankfurt office. We've rapidly expanded the Frankfurt office over recent years and also see good business prospects in the region going forward."
Kyros Khadjavi comes from UBS, where he headed the Berlin office of UBS Germany from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, in his function as Executive Director he led at team at UBS in Zurich that served private banking clients in the Rhine-Main region. As of 2005, he was also responsible for various staff functions for corporate executives in Wealth Management at UBS. Prior to that, the holder of a doctorate in economics spent four years with the Boston Consulting Group as a consultant specialising in banks. The native of Munich is married and has a son and a daughter.

"Together with our colleagues from the Investment Banking, Asset Management and Corporate Banking divisions and, as of September, the new Chief Investment Officer, Stefan Keitel, we want to offer the best that demanding private clients can legitimately expect from an independent private bank with a combination of first-class content and excellent service."
The Private Banking office in Frankfurt serves wealthy private clients, companies, families and foundations in the Rhine-Main region together with other parts of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and northern Bavaria.
Berenberg also manages IPOs and capital increases (Equity Capital Markets) and mergers & acquisitions from its Frankfurt office. In addition, part of the Equity Sales unit is based in Frankfurt. The office manager for this activity is Oliver Diehl.
Today, Frankfurt is the fourth biggest Berenberg office after the corporate headquarters in Hamburg (690 employees) and offices in the financial centres of London (170 employees) and Zurich (90 employees).
