Berenberg is one of the leading pan European banks involved in the trading of equities at electronic stock exchanges in both the small and mid cap arena as well as in the large cap arena.  As we service almost all European institutional clients as well as many Global institutions in our Capitals Markets business unit, a large number of our executed equity transactions are carried out OTC (over the counter) and thus executed with minimum impact on the market.

Berenberg is a member of Deutsche Börse, Borsa Italiana, NYSE Euronext, SIX Swiss Exchange and the Vienna Stock Exchange. It has moreover applied for membership at the London Stock Exchange (expected later this year) and will continue to expand our direct exchange membership over the coming years. In addition to direct exchange memberships, Berenberg offers execution to most all Pan-European equity markets via access products and multilateral trading systems (MTFs) such as Chi-X and Turquoise.

Our Trading team is based in Hamburg and consists of 8 experienced traders with many years of professional experience who have direct access to the individual stock exchanges.  In addition, we also offer our clients the use of our algo technologies.

The Sales Trading team is based across Europe along with the respective Equity Sales teams, and currently consists of 6 experienced professionals, with plans to expand over the coming months and years.  The goal of the team is to offer first class execution advice to global institutional and hedge fund managers and trading desks. 

Both the Trading and Sales Trading  desks work for the same Execution team and the same goal, to provide world class execution and advice to our trading customers.
