Berenberg Bank is building upon its presence in the UK by introducing asset management solutions in London, alongside its existing investment banking and private banking offering.
Matthew Stemp has joined Berenberg Bank in London to continue to build relationships with private and institutional investors in the UK. Matthew will work with both the established Private Banking team in London as well as Berenberg Asset Management in Hamburg to further develop its presence amongst UK institutional clients. Matthew brings more than 25 years of experience in asset management. He spent 17 years at UBS Global Asset Management where latterly he was the Head of UK responsible for the development and management of all client relationships. Previously, he worked for Fidelity and Lazard Investors.

Berenberg’s Asset Management team was recently selected as “Currency Manager of the Year” at the European Pensions Awards 2011 and recognised for its quantitative investment approach.
