The fund rating agency Scope has awarded Berenberg again: Best Asset Manager in the category Boutiques Austria.

Sustainable Award in Finance

The Berenberg Sustainable World Equities was awarded for its sustainability approach within the framework of the "2nd Sustainable Award in Finance 2021/22". The sustainably investing equity fund received the award in all 3 categories: E = Environment, S = Social and G = Governance.

GlobalCapital ECM Awards: Best Bank for Small Cap ECM

Berenberg has been honored with the title "Best Bank for Small Cap ECM" for the fifth time in a row.

Marine Money Deal of the Year

The Berenberg Shipping Team has been named the winner of Marine Money’s Structured Finance Deal of the Year 2021 for the $20 Million Multi-Step Transaction. Berenberg acted as Sole Arranger, Asset Manager and Investment Advisor.

Finanzen Verlag: Six Fund Awards

The fund concepts of Matthias Born, Andreas Strobl, Peter Kraus and Robert Reichle, CFA, CQF were convincing in the equity fund categories Europe, Eurozone, European Small Caps and Germany/Secondary as well as in the category pension fund Emerging Markets Euro.

Fund manager of the year: Matthias Born

The magazine €uro has awarded Matthias Born as Fund Manager of the Year. He is responsible for the Berenberg European Focus Fund and the Berenberg Eurozone Focus Fund.

Best Fund Manager: Lipper Awards

The fund rating agency Refinitiv Lipper has named Berenberg "Best Fund Manager" overall in Germany in the "Small Asset Managers" category. There were awards for fund management and for individual equity funds across Europe as well as for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France.

The Berenberg Aktien Strategie Global, managed by Kay Eichhorn-Schott, and the Berenberg Multi Asset Balanced, managed by Ansgar Nolte, received awards in their respective fund categories.

Scope Investment Awards: Best Asset Manager Boutiques & Private Debt

The fund rating agency Scope has awarded Berenberg twice: Best Asset Manager in the category Boutiques and Best Asset Manager in the category Private Debt.

Best Asset Manager of the year: Private-Banking-Test

The magazine €uro conducts an annual private banking test together with the German Institut for Wealth Building. Berenberg convinces in all six categories and is the overall winner in 2021.

Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards: Best German Small Cap Fund

The fund rating agency "Refinitiv Lipper" has awarded the "Berenberg-1590-Aktien Mittelstand", managed by Andreas Strobl, as the best fund in the category "German small caps" in Europe due to its outstanding performance over three years.

GlobalCapital ECM Awards: Best Bank for Small Cap Equity Capital Markets

Berenberg has been honored with the title "Best Bank for Small Cap Equity Capital Markets" (ECM) for the third time in a row. In addition, Berenberg was recognized as one of the three best ECM banks in the DACH region.

The "Elite Report" and "Handelsblatt" surveyed 350 asset managers throughout the German-speaking area. Berenberg was again able to maintain its top position in 2020 and received the "Best Asset Manager" award for the eleventh time in a row with the grade summa cum laude.

High score five stars


At the beginning of November 2020, the fund rating agency Morningstar awarded four Berenberg equity funds the top rating of five stars, just in time for their third anniversary.

Global Private Banking Awards 2020: Best Private Bank in Germany

Berenberg was named "Best Private Bank in Germany" for the ninth time at the Global Private Banking Awards 2020. This is the twelfth time that the Financial Times Group and its trade magazines "The Banker" and "Professional Wealth Management" have presented this prestigious award.

F.A.Z.-Institut:
Germany's most favorable employer

Berenberg was named Germany's most sought-after employer in the private bank category. In its study, the "F.A.Z.-Institut" examined communications with 20,000 companies in 350 million German-language online sources and evaluated questionnaires.

Wirtschaftswoche - Consumer ranking: High customer trust

Together with the analysis company ServiceValue, "Wirtschaftswoche" asked around 474,000 customers which companies they believed in the most. The survey covered 1,619 companies from 131 sectors. Customers gave Berenberg a "high level of trust".

GlobalCapital ECM Awards: Best Bank for Small Cap Equity Capital Markets

Berenberg was named "Best Bank for Small Cap Equity Capital Markets" and ranked third among ECM banks in the DACH region. We were also recognized for the best IPO of the year (Team 17).

Berenberg was named "Best Asset Manager" in the German-speaking region by the "Elite Report" and the "Handelsblatt" for the tenth time in a row. The Elite Report examined 354 asset managers throughout the German-speaking area.

Global Private Banking Awards: Highly Recommended

Berenberg has been awarded the title "Highly Recommended" at the "Global Private Banking Awards". The Financial Times Group with its trade magazines "The Banker" and "Professional Wealth Management" presented this prestigious award.

Citywire Deutschland Awards: Best Asset Manager for German Equities

The fund rating agency Citywire has named Berenberg's Asset Management the best house for German equities for the second time in a row.
